Zambra or Sarabande? These two words mean exactly the same: uproar, hustle and bustle, agitation. In the flamenco sphere, zambra is the celebration of the gipsies from Sacromonte, Granada, Spain. In baroque period, sarabande was a popular dance that used to be morally censured or a solemn dance executed to a ternary rhythm. Two worlds that may seem completely opposed (different periods, roots, timbres and instruments), but which will coexist throughout this programme and show common facets through their humanity. Lookingback gives a personal vision of ancient music thanks to the integration of modern elements such as improvisation and the use of instruments like the clarinet and the saxophone.
